Jazmine Sullivan

JazmineJazmine was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pam Her mother, who was a former backup singer for Philadelphia International Records. In the age of five the father of her was appointed as Philadelphia's Historic Strawberry Mansion curator. The family then moved into the building's historic structure. The 2005 Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts graduated who is majoring in vocal music. Sullivan was a contralto in the children's choir . Later just a few years later, she was a singer in the adults choir. Sullivan was not exposed the world of secular music for the first time. "I started singing as a soloist at church and a person wanted me to sign up to a gospel record when I was 11. But I wasn't prepared to do that," she says. At that time, McDonald's held a contest that was open to children living in cities. I had the opportunity to perform "Accept What God Allows" on it's Showtime at the Apollo. And the crowd responded very well. At the age 13 she sang along with Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday. Sullivan made her first signing with Jive Records when she was fifteen. As a teenager, she was signed to Jive Records. She recorded an complete album, but it wasn't made available for release. Sullivan was ultimately removed on the labels. The singer had a great working relationship along with Missy Elliott. Elliott produced several of her songs such as "Backstabbers" the track that was written by Timbaland.
