Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Fharquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 1970s where she studied the flute piano as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. She was able to survive on a student salary and part-time work to help supplement her income. Lennox was not content with her skills compared to others at Royal Academy and began looking to find alternative routes. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. She quit the group shortly before their appearance as a guest on I.T.V's talents program New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop group. In this band, she met Dave Stewart who would later join Eurythmics. Lennox collaborated on her solo debut album Diva. The album was released in 1993. The album was hugely successful both commercially as well as critically. Nostalgia Lennoxs 6th solo album was launched in October 2014. The C.D. Lennox has picked her most favored jazz, blues and soul tracks. Lepidoptera is a collection of four piano improvisations was published by Lennox in the month of May, 2019. The E.P. This album is a companion piece to her Now I let the door open... artwork, which was displayed at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox (born December 25, 1954) is a Scottish musician and political activist. The Tourists gained some minor acknowledgement for their and Dave Stewart's work during the 1970s.
